The big international festival took place this year in Yverdon-les-Bains. Its mission is to highlight the fact that Europe is unique and characterized by its diversity of culture and languages. Globalization, unification and americanization of languages irrevocably displaces our Old Continent of its historical and cultural uniqueness in the world. The European Union therefore supports the work of the Swiss association "Féte romande et internationale des patoisants". The living interest in preserving the original Franco-Provençal languages and dialects has people from two dozen regions of Switzerland,

France and Italy. The Festival of Languages, Distinctions and Folk Traditions is held for three days and is always a cultural and spiritual encouragement for hundreds of participants who come to Yverdon-les-Bains. The European Union of Art is always present at this important European event.
