Ice hockey legend Ing. Jozef Golonka from Slovakia was awarded by EUU as first sportsman. He got EUROPEAN AWARD FOR PROMOTING ARTS AND CULTURE and statue „Golden Europea.“ Golonka CSSR hockey captain from 60th got award for his hockey art and social benefits. For EUU Golonka isn´t only a player he is also a man who try to fight with our comon enemy in dark times. He was never afraid of things which can destroy his sport and personal life. Golonka and others gave us the strength and will to continue. We are really grateful for the things which he did for us.

Meeting of national minorities from 19 European countries took place on 16 - 24 6th 2012 in German Lausitz. The event, called Europeada 2012 was organized in association Domowina cooperation with the European Parliament. Sports and cultural activities of the participants watched 70 journalists and German TV with radio. On 20 6th 2012 was awarded the European Award for artistic and cultural activities - Golden Europea. He received the award, Mr. President of the Domowina Dawid Statnik.

Master John Buck is an important painter of the German region of the Sorbs. European award for his lifelong work of art officially handed over on 30 9th 2011 Dr. Peter Vasicek. Great social event was the 23rd April 2002 in the church of St. Roch in Prague. The Praesidium of the European Union art handed their awards for example: the world famous fashion designer Blanka Matragi from Lebanon (LBN), Slovak piano virtuoso Marian Lapsansky (SVK), founder of Czech Jazz Section Karl Srp, the German television director Lubomir Rejl (DEU) and other artists. The ceremony completed a concert by famous violin virtuoso Alexander Shonert from Novosibirsk (RUS).
